BUILT INSIDE A RESTAURANT GROUP. RUNNING LIVE ACROSS SIX LOCATIONS.
THE MEAL BREAK VIOLATION THAT NEVER HAPPENED
Breakboard turns live time-clock data into a simple floor display that tells managers who needs a meal, when to send them, and when someone must clock out. No spreadsheets. No guessing during the rush.

ONE MISSED REQUIRED MEAL CAN MEAN ONE ADDITIONAL HOUR OF PAY.
California meal-period premiums can turn a mistake during one busy shift into additional payroll, manager follow-up, and a record that must be explained later. Breakboard gives the floor manager a live operational tool for acting before the deadline—not another report that arrives after the shift is over.
LIVE
USES CURRENT TIME-CLOCK AND SCHEDULE DATA.
ACTIONABLE
SHOWS THE NEXT PERSON WHO NEEDS MANAGER ATTENTION.
VISIBLE
RUNS ON THE BROWSER OR SCREEN ALREADY USED BY THE RESTAURANT.
THE BOARD PREVENTS. THE PHONE ESCALATES. THE ARCHIVE PROVES.
THE BOARD PREVENTS
A live restaurant screen organizes employees by the action the manager needs to take next. Meal deadlines, clock-out limits, employees currently on break, and short-meal exceptions stay visible during the shift.
THE PHONE ESCALATES
Managers can view the same live information from a phone without standing in front of the wall display. Critical alerts can be escalated when an employee approaches a configured deadline.
THE ARCHIVE PROVES
Completed shifts retain the available time-clock, meal, schedule, correction, and attestation evidence. Operators can review what happened without rebuilding the shift from several disconnected systems.
SIX RESTAURANTS. EVERY SHIFT. LIVE RIGHT NOW.
Breakboard was built to solve a real operating problem inside a six-location restaurant group. It now reads live Deputy data across every location and continuously reconciles schedules, clock-ins, meal records, corrections, and current shift status.

ABOUT DAVE
Cronies was my world as a kid and through college — I’ve been shaking hands at restaurants since I could walk. After college, I moved to San Francisco and worked in software, where I saw firsthand what the right tools can do for a business. Then I came back to Cronies, helped found The Yard Bar & Grill with the Cronies group, and built Breakboard as a tool for our own floors.
BUILT FOR THE RUSH, NOT FOR AN HR FOLDER.
BEFORE BREAKBOARD
• Managers calculate fifth-hour deadlines mentally
• Schedule changes make printed plans unreliable
• Problems are discovered after payroll
• Owners cannot see every location at once
WITH BREAKBOARD
• The next action stays visible
• Live punches replace assumptions
• Each restaurant sees only its own screen
• Owners can view all locations
• Rules can be customized by restaurant and position
LET US BUILD YOUR FIRST BREAKBOARD.
We are working with a small number of local restaurant groups while we expand beyond our own locations. We will connect your existing time-clock data, configure the board around your operation, and help launch the first restaurant screen.

QUESTIONS FROM THE FLOOR.
DOES BREAKBOARD REPLACE OUR TIME CLOCK?
No. Breakboard reads approved data from the restaurant’s existing workforce system and turns it into a live operational view.
DO MANAGERS NEED TO INSTALL AN APP?
No. Early restaurant screens run in a normal browser or kiosk-style browser on a tablet, computer, or television-connected device.
CAN DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS USE DIFFERENT RULES?
Yes. Company defaults can be inherited across locations, while restaurant and position-specific settings can be customized when needed.
DOES BREAKBOARD GUARANTEE COMPLIANCE?
No software can guarantee compliance. Breakboard gives managers earlier, clearer information so they can make better decisions before a deadline is missed.
